Child/Caregiver Classes

Guiding Growth classes are a nurturing environment designed to foster each child's natural curiosity and development while providing adults with valuable insights into early childhood education.

A carefully designed space filled with developmentally appropriate materials that engage the baby or toddler’s senses, encourage exploration, and provide opportunities for language exposure and learning.

Enhanced child development

Exposure to developmentally appropriate activities can support the child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Increased caregiver knowledge

Learn about child development, Montessori principles, and practical parenting strategies.

Community building

Connect with other parents and caregivers in a supportive environment.

The Guiding Growth community has been an absolute joy to be a part of. The warm environment is filled with beauty, love, and dedication to our children’s development. We’re able to laugh, learn, and grow together, and I look forward to each week! - Jocelyn (Parent in Caregiver Class)

Bring Guiding Growth to Your School

Build community. Support development. Grow together.

Caregiver and child classes offer more than an opportunity to learn about child development and Montessori principles. They create space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, ask questions, and build relationships while supporting their young children's growth and independence.

Guiding Growth partners with schools to bring these meaningful experiences directly into their communities. Our classes give caregivers a chance to explore Montessori principles, observe their children in a thoughtfully prepared environment, and connect with other families navigating the early years together.

A Summer of Connection: Creekside Montessori

In Summer 2026, Guiding Growth partnered with Creekside Montessori to offer a 12-week Child & Caregiver Class session, creating opportunities for families with infants and toddlers to connect with the school and experience Montessori in a welcoming, relationship-centered environment.

Throughout the session, we welcomed 10 families, including six who were new to both Guiding Growth and Creekside Montessori. Children ranged from 6 to 21 months, bringing families into the Creekside community during the earliest stages of their educational journeys.

Through weekly visits, families had the opportunity to become familiar with the campus, experience Montessori principles in practice, and build connections with other caregivers. For Creekside, the session provided an opportunity to increase community awareness, begin relationships with prospective future families, and introduce its school community to families well before traditional enrollment years.

This summer partnership demonstrated how Child & Caregiver Classes can extend beyond weekly enrichment. By creating meaningful opportunities for families to connect, Guiding Growth helps schools build community, strengthen family relationships, and introduce Montessori education from the very beginning.

A Growing Partnership: Heartwood Montessori School

In Fall 2024, Heartwood Montessori School welcomed Guiding Growth for its first caregiver-and-child class session, bringing together three families. Now in our third year of quarterly sessions, this partnership has grown to support more than 30 families through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and community-building.

This partnership's success reflects the value of creating intentional spaces where caregivers feel welcomed, supported, and connected—not only to their children, but also to other families and the school community.
